Innocent Big Knit

Just a quickie this morning. I've had my weekly newsletter from Innocent (the people that make the scrummy smoothies) and they have announced the launch of The Big Knit 2008. This is their campiagn to raise funds and awareness for Age Concern. I only found it after last year's campaign had ended but this year I'm definitely going to play.

Click on the link to their website where there is loads of info and inspiration and even three knitting patterns, ranging from dead simple to more complex. I have NEVER knitted a shaped garment in my life but I managed to make a little hat from the simple pattern so ANYONE can do it. They are super quick to make too.

Innocent even set up a Flickr group and feature the "hats of the week". So get out your needles and scraps of wool and get playing. It's fab fun and for a good cause.

Hello there and thank you for the gorgeous pics and also the comments on my Towans bag - so lovely to get feedback, particularly such positive ones. You must have been in agony after a barefoot trek across the dunes! It's a bit sunnier here today thank heavens xx

I'm a crochet girl, myself but what a good idea....the innocent people are so good and the blurb on the cartons are a scream.
Just wanted to thank you very much for all the great comments you leave for me, very much appreciated.
Glad you had a good jolly.

Hi E&E

St Ives is my favourite place fullstop. Theres no where else I'd rather be. So we could be neighbours, there is a white hexagonal house as you look up the cliff from porthmeor beach, thats where we dream to live...

I don't know if anyone else is having the same trouble but the last post of yours thats shown up on 'Reader; is Silly Girls and secrets'. I've missed the last three, and I was dying to know about your holiday.

I've just been reading your post about Cornwall. We know Porthkerris beach as we stay just around the bay and have walked to the beach several times. Lovely photographs by the way.

Thank you for your wonderful blog and the link to the innocent knits. We have a TV free day on Sunday and so my girls and I will be knitting tomorrow instead. I have wanted to go to St Ives for a very long time and your blog has helped me make the decision that the next two weeks of the summer break is my time to go. Keep up the great work! XXX
